UK-Georgia Trade and Investment Roundtable

On Monday 30th November 2015, over 40 delegates attended DMA's UK-Georgia Investment Roundtable at Lancaster House in London.

Delegates to the Roundtable were welcomed by HMA Alexandra Hall, UK Ambassador to Georgia and heard a keynote address from HE Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. Presentations were delivered by Ms Ketevan Bochorishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, providing an extensive overview of Georgia’s Investment Climate. Mr David Lee, President of Magticom and Ms Mako Abashidze, Director of the British Georgian Chamber of Commerce, delivered the positive private sector view and explained the support businesses moving to the country can receive.The presentations were then followed by an informative Q & A session.

The Roundtable provided businesses looking to invest in Georgia, the opportunity to engage with the relevant officials and to hear from other companies that have successfully invested in the country. Attendees also commented on the overall positive message that the speakers achieved.
