ABOUT THE FORUM

HE Saad Hariri, Prime Minister of Lebanon will visit London in December 2018 accompanied by a high profile delegation, culminating in a business and investment forum aimed at fostering and developing the bilateral relationship between the two countries. The forum will allow a platform for investors and businesses to engage with Lebanon on recent developments and opportunities in the country including; the Government’s vision for their infrastructure Capital Investment Plan, PPP projects and investment in the oil & gas sector. Throughout the day there will be networking opportunities with the speakers and delegates as well as a Townhall Discussion with HE Riad Salame, Governor of Lebanon's Central Bank.

This session will discuss the Government of Lebanon's vision presented at the CEDRE conference, including the Capital Investment Program, the fiscal consolidation process, the structural and sectoral reforms, as well as the productive sectors strategy.

This session will discuss in depth Lebanon's CIP, the sectoral distribution as well as key projects currently under preparation.

1200-1300: Session 3: Public Private Partnerships in Lebanon: investing in infrastructure and financing modalities

This session will discuss the key provisions of the newly approved PPP law as well as CIP infrastructure projects that could be implemented under different PPP modalities. The session will also focus on the different financing modalities for infrastructure projects, including the role of commercial banks, multilateral development institutions, private equity investors, and infrastructure funds.
