DMA – Homestrings Investing in Nigeria Symposium

Developing Markets Associates (DMA) and Homestrings hosted the ‘Investing in Nigeria’ symposium on March 7th at Drapers’ Hall in London. This widely successful event is the second event in DMA –Homestrings’ Diaspora Investment Series. Attended by over 350 members of the diaspora and institutional investors, the event featured opportunities to directly invest in innovative projects across Nigeria in sectors such as agriculture, technology, extractives, infrastructure, and more.

Showcase projects were presented by Kohath Investment Group, LandAfrique Agro Limited, UPDC, Crystal Thorpe Limited, First Deepwater Discovery, Orient Petroleum Resources, Savannah Gold, Pearland Energy, Davandy Group, Venture Garden Group, Debonair Devices, and Sosai Renewable Energies. Presentations were also made by representatives from the African Development Bank, Oyo State, Ondo State, Rivers State and Ogun State.

The event also featured the support of Arik Air, Detail Commercial Solicitors and Diamond Bank. Partner organisations for the event included the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Business Council for Africa, the Royal African Society, Move Back to Nigeria, Diaspora Direct Nigerian Investment Summit, Nigerians in the Diaspora Organisations and Nigerians in the Square Mile.

Peter Carter, UK Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria and Ambassador Oluwatoyin Kayode Lawal, Nigerian Deputy High Commissioner, to the UK opened the event, which featured a keynote address by Kolapo Lawson, Chairman of Agbara Estates Limited.
