Trade and Investment Mission to Côte d'Ivoire
UK–Côte d’Ivoire Trade & Investment Mission: Strategic Partnerships for Sustainable Growth
Date: May 2025
Location: Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire
We were proud to lead a 30-member UK delegation to Abidjan for the UK–Côte d’Ivoire Trade & Investment Mission — a focused, high-impact programme designed to unlock bilateral opportunities across infrastructure, agri-industry, energy, and finance.
The mission began with expert insights and support from:
- Steve Gray, Head, West Africa, UK Export Finance (UKEF)
- John Humphrey, HM Trade Commissioner for Africa, DBT
- HMA Catherine Brooker, British Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire
- HE Sara Amani, Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to the UK
Over two intensive days, delegates held direct engagements with key ministries and agencies including:
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Ministry of Finance
- Ministry of Trade & Industry
- Ministry of Urban Development
- Ministry of Construction
- Côte d’Ivoire’s Debt Management Office
This mission reinforced the UK’s strong commitment to supporting Côte d’Ivoire’s National Development Plan (PND 2026–2030), and showcased the breadth of UK expertise in delivering scalable, sustainable solutions across priority sectors.
We thank our partners in both government and business for their trust and collaboration. We look forward to deepening these relationships and building on the momentum achieved in Abidjan.
