UK-Francophone West & Central Africa Trade & Investment Forum V (WCAF V)

On 11 September, the Government of Guinea officially launched WCAF V in-country, marking an important milestone ahead of the Forum taking place in Conakry this October.

The launch was held in the presence of H.E. Djiba Diakité, Minister and Director of Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic, H.E. Ismael Nabe, Minister of Planning, International Cooperation and Development, and H.E. Daniel Shepherd, UK Ambassador to Guinea, alongside diplomats, investors, private-sector leaders, development partners and members of the media.

The event provided an opportunity to discuss Guinea’s investment priorities and the opportunities ahead across infrastructure, energy, finance and economic transformation, including the ambitions of Simandou 2040.

We are grateful to the Government of Guinea for hosting the official in-country launch and for its continued support as we build towards WCAF V.

With 40+ countries and 1,000+ participants expected in Conakry, the excitement is building.
