UK-Gambia Trade and Investment Mission

Our recent trade mission to The Gambia marked a significant milestone in strengthening commercial ties between the UK and one of West Africa’s most dynamic emerging markets. We were proud to lead a delegation of more than 15 British companies to the Gambia, representing a diverse cross-section of sectors and united by a shared ambition to explore high-growth opportunities and build long-term partnerships.

Throughout the visit, delegates engaged in targeted meetings with government officials, institutional stakeholders, and private sector leaders, gaining first-hand insight into priority sectors and the country’s forward-looking development agenda.

A particular highlight was the official opening address delivered by His Excellency the Vice President, whose remarks set a strong and collaborative tone for the programme. Delegates were further honoured to participate in private meetings with the Vice President, enabling in-depth discussions around investment priorities, policy direction, and opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
