UK-Ghana Trade & Investment Forum 2014
On October 23rd, at the Grosvenor Square Hotel, London, Developing Markets Associates (DMA) in association with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the Government of the Republic of Ghana hosted the UK-Ghana Trade & Investment Forum 2014. This highly acclaimed event was attended by over 400 delegates including key stakeholders and high level representatives from both the public and private sector.
The Goverment of Ghana delegation was led by HE President John Dramani Mahama who endorsed the forum with a keynote address to the attendees. His ministerial delegation included Hon Seth Terkper, Minister of Finance; Hon Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, Minister of Energy & Petroleum; Hon Fifi Fiavi Franklin Kwetey, Minister of Food and Agriculture; and Hon Ekow Spio-Garbrah, Minister of Trade & Industry, most of whom adressed the forum. Speeches were also given by HE Victor Smith, Ghana High Commissioner to the UK; Mawuena Trebarh, CEO, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC); and presentations were given by the event sponsors to whom DMA extends its sincere thanks for their support of the forum.
There were five sessions across the day, hosting a number of presentations from both public and private sector speakers. The main areas of discussion were Economic Outlook; Infrastructure & Energy; Extractives; Agriculture & Agribusiness; and supporting Trade & Investment.
