UK-Republic of Guinea Trade & Investment Mission

Our recent mining-focused trade mission to Guinea marked a significant milestone in strengthening commercial ties between the UK and one of West Africa’s most resource-rich and strategically important markets. We were proud to lead a delegation of 35 British companies, representing a strong cross-section of the mining and natural resources value chain, all united by a shared ambition to explore high-growth opportunities and build long-term partnerships.

Throughout the visit, delegates engaged in a series of high-level meetings with government ministers, institutional stakeholders, and private sector leaders over two intensive days. These engagements provided valuable, first-hand insight into Guinea’s mining sector priorities and broader development agenda, while also enabling targeted discussions aligned to ongoing and prospective projects.

A key highlight of the mission was the opportunity to meet with numerous senior ministers across critical portfolios, allowing for in-depth conversations around investment frameworks, licensing, infrastructure development, and sector-specific opportunities. These discussions generated substantial momentum for multiple participating companies, with several advancing commercial engagements and progressing potential deals.

We extend our sincere thanks to His Majesty’s Government (HMG), our in-country partners, and all stakeholders who contributed to delivering a highly productive and impactful programme.
