UK-Nepal Energy Transition and Countdown to COP26

29th September, London & Kathmandu

With UK Government’s leadership on driving more ambitious CO2 emissions targets in the run up to COP26 and the Nepalese government’s commitment to act on climate change in line with the Paris Agreement, DMA together with the Nepalese Embassy London, British Embassy Kathmandu and the Office of the Investment Board Nepal (OIBN) are very pleased to present this high-level event for the 29th September 2021.

Against the background of the continued uncertainty around COVID-19 and its impact on international travel and in-person meetings, this is an innovative hybrid event combining socially distanced physical meetings in London and Kathmandu, connected by a digital bridge.

Day one will see key principals and interlocutors from both governments introduced to delegates and given the opportunity to present their positions in the run up to COP26. 10-12 UK-based energy transition companies will then meet virtually with 10-12 potential business partners in Nepal across the renewable energy landscape including in energy, engineering, construction, legal, accountancy and banking services sectors.
